When it comes to your wedding day, it’s all about your vision as a couple and the merging of two to become one. But, when it comes to your bridal style, it really is all about you! Island bridal style is a great opportunity to make a statement for your groom, and your guests. From bohemian-inspired dresses to couture gowns to everything in between, your bridal style should epitomize your taste and personality. We love seeing a bride on her big day, and watching the months of build up culminate in the final look. Take a peak below at some of our favorite bridal style moments, and hopefully draw some inspiration for your island wedding day!
Caroline and Phil’s wedding day is such a highlight in our event planning experience—for so many reasons! It’s always incredible designing a wedding based around a couple’s unique needs, but Phil and Caroline exceeded all our expectations when it comes to a couple in love. Their appreciation for tradition really resonated with us, and the St. Benedicts “The Painted Church” served the perfect venue for their love-filled ceremony. The colorful church was such a vibrant focal point to set the tone for their overall aesthetic.
The wedding reception, as well as the events leading up to the big day, were held at the luxurious Four Seasons Resort, Hualalai on the Big Island of Hawaii. This served as the perfect mix of diverse locations for them to hold their events. The weekend festivities began with the Welcome Lobster Bake on the beach. With our toes in the sand, guests casually dined on lobster and finished with a bonfire as well as Hawaiian storyteller, who gave their guests an intimate and authentic Hawaiian cultural experience by sharing Hawaiian legends and stories. Their Farmer’s Market Rehearsal Dinner was a relaxing event that highlighted the incredible local produce that the Big Island has to offer and allowed guests to sip mojitos and enjoy live folk music. The culmination of the weekend was the elegant wedding reception. The bright blooms at the reception as well as the charming tabletop décor and place settings created a memorable night that wrapped up their amazing adventure. We are so grateful to have been a part of such a joyous occasion, and wish these two a lifetime of happiness!

When it comes to your wedding day, it’s all about bringing your unique vision to life. Whether you gravitate towards a bold, colorful aesthetic, or a relaxed, rustic design, you can be sure that the Hawaiian coast is the perfect canvas ready to be transformed. Deirdre and Darryl’s romantic Hawaiian nuptials were nothing short of spectacular—and definitely a personal favorite in our book! From the floral arch draped in sheer white linens to the outdoor tent with suspended chandeliers, their décor and design epitomizes the perfect island wedding. The ceremony was quite simply picturesque, and full of romance. We adore weddings that transition into the night, and Deirdre and Darryl’s reception was no exception. The couple danced the night away with friends and family, soaking up every last minute of their special day. Even though you just can’t beat the Hawaiian sunset, at the end of the day, it’s all about love and laughter. We couldn’t be happier for these two.

Special Touches Make This Maui Wedding Special
This gorgeous Bride and Groom (who preferred to remain anonymous) had a very specific vision of what they wanted their guests to experience. Their vision was very much based on feeling and emotion as opposed to using tangible images as a source of inspiration. Their wish was to create the perfect backdrop to their love story, by transforming the gorgeously rustic Haiku Mill into a haven of comfort. They wanted very much for everything to feel natural, and to simply accent the already incredible natural brick, vine, weathered rock and wood of the Mill’s interior.
In addition to their wish list of feelings that they wanted conveyed, the couple also wished to incorporate elements of the Groom’s Indian heritage within the event as well, without too much of the amplified opulence of a traditional Indian wedding. Adding ceremonial Hindu rituals, such as the puja ritual (offerings), allowed for their closest friends and family to actively participate in the ceremony, adding a very important feeling of intimacy to their event. Their hands were wrapped together with a red sash as they performed the Saptapadi (Sanskrit for seven steps) around the Holy Fire (Agni). With each step, the groom’s aunt called out a vow to establish aspects of a happy relationship and household for each other.
To create the setting they envisioned, we set up plush Turkish rugs, tons of accent pillows, coffee tables, varied vintage decor pieces, side tables, and nick knacks, giving the Mill’s lounge areas the feel of an exotic living room. The dining tables themselves were all unique and inviting, accenting different elements of glass, drift wood, overflowing arrangements of flowers and fruit, and candles, candles, candles! Instead of mounting a temporary trellis, the oh-so talented Bella Bloom attached individual vines and blooms to the existing vines that crawled up the entry way to the Mill. Instead of bringing in glassware for the accent arrangements, we utilized the weathered and moss-covered ceramic urns from the Mill itself, and filled them with an abundance of flowers, falling over the edges to add on over-grown affect. Eunice and Larry – A Beautiful Kauai Wedding
Just a couple of days ago; we were pleased to see one of our weddings featured on Snippet & Ink – a beautiful wedding blog showcasing real weddings, bridal inspirations & features for all to awe about!
Eunice & Larry tied the knot just last Spring on the beautiful island of Kauai, the Garden Isle; truly one of my favorite spots on earth…..sigh. The wedding festivities were flawlessly captured by Nancy Neil , who was so sweet to work with. The wedding ceremony took place at a private property in Kilauea, Kauai called Secrets Beach Hideaway overlooking Secrets Beach. If you are looking for absolute privacy and jaw-dropping incredible views, this is the place for you! Following the dramatic back-drop of the wedding ceremony venue, all guests made their way to the St Regis Resort in Hanalei Bay, an equally stunning location right on the water, where a beautiful reception was set up. It all came together so seamlessly. Have a look at the photos below.
