Perfect in Paradise

Photo by Belle Destination Events What did you do last Friday, you ask?  Well, I was privileged to be a part of the Maui wedding of Su-Yin & Tomohisa held at the Farimont Kea Lani resort.  These two make the sweetest couple.   It is obvious to anyone in the same room how much love Su-Yin & Tomo share and how much mutual respect they have for each other.  Their admiration and pride for one another is truly inspiring.  When Su-Yin took on the task of planning her event on her own, she realized quickly that she could use some additional assistance to ensure that everything came together smoothly, so she enlisted the help of Belle Destination Events for On-Site & Consultation Services.  So, as much as I would love to take full credit, this wedding was such a collaborative effort, and Su-Yin came up with most of the artfully crafted D.I.Y. elements.  She scoured Etsy and the shelves of stores for a creative collaboration of color and personalized elements.  She really did an amazing job of binding each element together.

A very large part of the credit must go to San Diego-based floral designer, Karen Tran, whose floral designs and linens were elaborate, stunning, and absolutely impeccable.  Her team did an incredible job transforming the simple room into it's own romantic wonderland. Karen truly brought Su-Yin's vision to life and many of the elements in her inspiration board made it gracefully to the table top.

Guests traveled from all over the globe for this very intimate affair - France, China, Australia, Canada, Cambodia....the list goes on.  They really wanted these guests to feel welcome and thank them for traveling so far to be with them to celebrate this momentous day.

So how about a sneak peak, you ask???  This featured video is actually a "Same-Day Edit" produced by the talented cinematographers of, Aria Studios (based out of Oahu).  This clip was actually shot and edited that same day, and was shown at the wedding reception.  They did an amazing job capturing the excitement of the day.  The photos, shot by Christie Pham (also based out of Oahu), will take about 2 months to post, but this gives us a little taste in the meantime.... Enjoy!

Love & Aloha,
