An Engagement Session at Traavasa Hana, Maui

We are gearing up for Bri and Webb's incredible springtime destination wedding at Travaasa Hana, which is hands-down one of Hawaii's most spectacular venues. On a recent trip to Hawaii from their hometown of Colorado, the couple adventured to Hana with their wedding photography team at Maui Maka to capture an engagement session set against the beauty of the rugged countryside and famous red sand beach. The bride, Bri, is originally from Upcountry Maui so she spent a lot of time in Hana growing up. "Hana has been my favorite place for as long as I can remember," she says. "My dad has some land out there, so it was a big part of my childhood, from camping, hiking and swimming, to hanging at the beach, it's the best!"

Bri tells us "The first time Webb came to Maui with me, I was so excited to take him to Hana. He fell in love with it right away and said to me during that first trip, "Don't you think this would be a really cool place to get married?" When we got engaged on Christmas Eve, I was surprised because I thought it would happen in Hana! The tears came for me when Webb told me that we had a meeting with the events manager at Travaasa Hana scheduled for two days later. It really is a dream come true."

Bri wore a Jen's Pirate Booty dress from Pink by Nature in Makawao. Her nude one piece swimsuit is by Acacia.

Bri's ring is a fancy light yellow diamond in a radiant cut with white diamond trapezoids on each side. Webb found it at a little shop in Denver, Colorado called Williams Jewelers. Bri says, "In elementary school, I loved the color yellow. One of my friends bet me that I couldn't go a day without wearing yellow and she won. All of my clothes were yellow and I even had yellow overalls! Webb didn't know this about me but it was so fun to show my friend my yellow diamond ring!"
